For our client, an international automotive manufacturer based in the Stuttgart region in Germany, we are looking for several experienced Strategic Buyers to strengthen its growing procurement organisation.

Ihre Aufgaben
As a Strategic Buyer, you will take end-to-end commercial responsibility for an automotive commodity – from sourcing strategy and supplier nomination through industrialisation and series production.
You will work closely with Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing and Supply Chain and manage international suppliers throughout the product lifecycle.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Developing and implementing commodity and sourcing strategies
- Managing RFQs, supplier selection and sourcing decisions
- Negotiating prices, contracts and commercial terms
- Managing cost, timing and supply targets for your commodity
- Building and developing strategic supplier relationships
- Analysing global supply markets and identifying opportunities and supply-chain risks
- Supporting New Product Introduction (NPI), industrialisation and product launches
- Working cross-functionally with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality and Supply Chain
- Contributing to the continued development of the procurement organisation
Ihr Profil
Essential:
- Approximately 5+ years of experience in strategic procurement / purchasing within the automotive industry
- Experience gained with an automotive OEM or Tier 1 supplier
- Strong background in strategic sourcing, supplier selection and commercial negotiations
- Good understanding of automotive development, industrialisation and series-production processes
- Experience working with international suppliers and cross-functional teams
- Fluent English
Nice to have:
- German language skills
- NPI / New Product Introduction experience
- International sourcing experience
- SAP knowledge
German is not a mandatory requirement for this position.
